Aging While Black (awB) is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Strategist to join our team. As a Digital Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy across various platforms and managing half a dozen working groups that meet regularly via online platforms. You will work closely with our team to create compelling content, manage social media accounts, analyze performance metrics, and stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure our social media presence remains innovative and effective. Additionally, you will work to ensure each awB Horizontal meets bi-monthly and makes progress against agreed upon goals.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to achieve marketing goals and objectives.
  • Create engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Manage all social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring user engagement.
  • Collaborate with the team to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor trends and best practices in social media and identify opportunities to enhance our strategy and tactics.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and prepare regular reports to track progress and optimize strategies for growth.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new features, and algorithm changes on social media platforms.
  • Foster relationships with influencers and brand advocates to expand our reach and increase brand visibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and tools in social media management and leverage them to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Schedule & attend bi-monthly horizontal meetings
  • Communicate with horizontal members as needed between meetings.
  • Share pertinent updates with awB team regarding horizontal team member engagement and meeting outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decisions and optimize performance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
  • A passion for social media, digital marketing, and staying ahead of industry trends.
